How to get wood stain out of clothes. Never dry clothes with wood stain spots in a clothes dryer until the stain is entirely gone. Move the stained fabric from place to place on the paper towel surfaces. Saturate a clean cloth with more acetone and firmly blot the back side of the stain. One is to make a paste of baking soda and warm water.
Mix this well and use a clean dry cloth or sponge to apply this to the stain. Apply this to the stain scrub it with a toothbrush or your finger then thoroughly rinse the garment and launder it as usual. Blot from the outer edges of the stain inward to avoid further spreading the stain. Soak the sap stain for 20 minutes.
This gives the product time to loosen the dried sap which is very difficult to remove through washing alone. If you get wood stain on your clothes you can try washing it out by first pre treating it with a stain removal pen. Pour a capful of acetone directly onto the back side of the wood stain. Eliminate dye stains by using a cloth to rub a combination of bleach and detergent into the stain.
Work the stain remover into the stain with your fingers or a toothbrush if you d like. Simply press the pen tip directly on the stain to release some of the cleansing detergent then hold the clothing item in both hands and scrub the stain by rubbing the stained part of the cloth together repeatedly. Push the stain into the paper towels to transfer the wood stain from the fabric onto the paper towels. As you push against the back of the stain the paper towels soak up the stain from the front.
Continue to dip the rag into mineral spirits and blot the stain until it is removed. Leave the clothing to dry in open air for at least 20 minutes. You will have the best outcome if you take the item to a professional cleaner instead of using a home kit. Drying the stain in a clothes dryer will set it permanently.
Blot the stain beginning at the outer edge of the stain. Take the stained clothing off immediately to begin the removal process. There are a couple of ways to get stains out naturally. If the stain is still evident as the clothing starts to dry apply a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 4 parts warm water scrubbing the item gently with a nylon bristled brush.

Move from the outside edge of the stain toward the center to prevent spreading and worsening the stain. Afterward soak the affected area in hot water.
